Baby It’s Cold Outside

• Summary: “Submit your hottest art – 12″ tall maximum – 3D pieces welcome! The gallery is located in the bustling lobby of the Joslyn Center, right by the parking lot entrance and across from the registration desk – a space that hosts dances, concerts, classes, and more. It’s a great spot to showcase your small but mighty creations!”

• Deadline: 9/16/25

• Location: The Joslyn Center, Burbank, CA

• Exhibition Dates: 9/23/25 - 1/5/26

• Mediums: All

• Entry Fee: “This is a California Creative Arts hosted show. Members receive priority. If you are not a member, you can join here. We are a nonprofit. Your membership fee is tax deductible, and you keep 100% of your sales. Non-members, if accepted, must become a member or pay a one-time participation fee of $40 (it’s only $10 more for a one-year membership).”

Color Expressions

• Summary: “The City of Santa Clarita (City) is inviting artists to submit artwork for consideration in the upcoming “Color Expressions” juried exhibition, which will be on view at the Newhall Community Center from October 1 through December 16, 2025. This exhibition explores the emotional and cultural power of color, inviting artists to reflect on the ways bold palettes, symbolic hues, and vibrant traditions convey meaning beyond words.”

• Deadline: 9/22/25

• Location: Newhall Community Center, Newhall

• Exhibition Dates: 10/1/25 - 12/16/25

• Mediums: Painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles, and mixed-media.

• Entry Fee: No fee

No Hard Edges

• Summary: “At its core, the theme of "No Hard Edges" takes on the break-down of barriers and opens artistic interpretations. It encompasses a wide array of subjects from human resilience to the every day obstacles that create hard edges in your mind, heart and soul. Through your vision of a softer edge, whether that be in your daily interactions with others, artistic style, or your imagining of a kind world globally, art will begin to express what this might look like. Color, composition, texture, form… thus, begins the process of softening.”

• Deadline: 9/27/25

• Location: Woodward Contemporary, San Diego

• Exhibition Dates: 10/11/25 - 11/11/25

• Mediums: Entries must be original and created entirely by the artist. No digital art, workshop/class art, or reproductions will be accepted.

• Entry Fee: $40

A Closer Look

• Summary: “A Closer Look is detail intensified; dig deep, crop-in, an abstraction that tells how an event makes you feel. It is your viewpoint, put succinctly, in paint, in metal, in ceramic, into thin air... see its ESSENCE; the nape of the neck tells of the body; the curve of the racetrack tells of the fury; the crack in the cornerstone tells of warning. Read Hemmingway.”

• Deadline: 10/19/25

• Location: bG Gallery, Santa Monica

• Exhibition Dates: 11/11/25 - 12/2/25

• Mediums: Drawing, painting, photographs, digital art, mixed media, collage, and sculpture. No performance art or AI is accepted. For sculptures, the gallery has 7 pedestals, which will be available on a first serve basis.

• Entry Fee: “One or two entries: $35.00 for CAL members with 2025 dues fully paid, and $55.00 for non-CAL members. The $20.00 surcharge for non-members is a one-time offer that gives the new artist membership into CAL at a discount.”

Saved By Art

• Summary: “Remember when Saturday mornings were all about neon, mix tapes, and pure creative chaos? Covet Art Gallery is bringing that energy back with our next in-person exhibition: Saved By Art. We’re casting a wide net—any style, any medium, any vibe is welcome. Think fun, funky, bold, nostalgic, and unapologetically YOU. This is your chance to show off what makes your art impossible to ignore. Whether you’re working in paint, pixels, clay, cardboard, collage—or something the world hasn’t even seen yet—we want it.”

• Location: Covet Art Gallery, Oceanside

• Exhibition Dates: 11/8/25 - 12/6/25

• Mediums: All

• Entry Fee: $25
