Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!

  • Summary: “This wild and inspiring show will celebrate its 35th consecutive year in 2024. Artwork of all types of wildlife is accepted. Wild animals only, no domestic or farm animals.”

  • Deadline: 10/15/24

  • Location: Foothills Art Association, La Mesa

  • Exhibition Date: 10/29/24 - 12/4/24

  • Mediums: Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil, etchings and block prints, serigraphs, nonfunctional sculpture (no digital or photography)

  • Entry Fee: $40 for first entry, $10 for each additional entry

  • Summary: “We are excited to announce our upcoming art show, “Art For All” designed to feature smaller, affordable works of original art. Our goal is to introduce new collectors and those who have never purchased original art to the joy of owning high-quality, unique original art pieces.”

  • Deadline: 10/16/2024

  • Location: Gallery of Hermosa, Hermosa Beach

  • Exhibition Dates: 11/15/24 - 1/5/25

  • Mediums: 2D artwork

  • Entry Fee: $15

  • Summary: “This is an Open Call for all artwork of icons or with iconic references. Artwork can include a literal or a loose interpretation using any styles and mediums. We are open to all possibilities!”

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: $25

  • Summary: “We are accepting submissions for our first group show "tiny little embers" small works, big ideas. Submit your personal, risky, or experimental works for consideration now!”

  • Deadline: 10/21/24

  • Location: Studio NOHO, North Hollywood

  • Exhibition Dates: 11/8/24 - 11/22/24

  • Mediums: Paintings no larger than 24” X 24”

  • Entry Fee: $15 fee for accepted pieces

  • Summary: Juried by Seta Injeyan, Surrealist Painter, this call for surreal art is open to interpretation, with various techniques and mediums accepted.

  • Deadline: 10/31/24

  • Location: The Artists Gallery, Los Angeles

  • Exhibition Dates: 12/4/24 - 1/3/25

  • Mediums: Artists may submit surreal-style paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, and video art. No AI. Artwork dimensions limit including the frame: 60 H x 45 W in.

  • Entry Fee: $35
