Summary: The City of Santa Clarita is inviting artists to submit artwork for consideration in the upcoming “Winter Expressions” juried exhibition, which will be on view at the Newhall Community Center from November 4, 2026, through February 24, 2027. This exhibition explores the winter season through artwork inspired by nature, tradition, and memory. From quiet winter landscapes and seasonal gatherings to cultural traditions, personal memories and imaginative interpretations, “Winter Expressions” invites artists to reflect on the colors, emotions and experiences that make the season unique.

Summary: What We Grow invites artists to consider cultivation in its many forms — botanical, cultural, intellectual, and relational. This exhibition explores plant life not only as subject matter, but as material, collaborator, and system — and as a participant in rituals of care, nourishment, and gathering. Presented at the CSUN West Gallery, the exhibition will be activated through live tea demonstrations in collaboration with Tea Haven at CSUN, featuring teas grown in the campus garden. These demonstrations foreground the ritual dimensions of plant life — preparation, steeping, sharing — transforming the gallery into a site of attention, exchange, and collective study. This exhibition is open to artists 18 years and older residing in Los Angeles and Ventura County.
