Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls

Summary: “Step into the dark—and light it up. The Los Angeles Makery invites artists to submit work for The Glow Show, an immersive exhibition celebrating all things luminous. We are seeking artwork that glows, radiates, fluoresces, or transforms under black light. Think neon, phosphorescence, UV-reactive materials, and unexpected uses of light. This exhibition will be presented as a black light experience, turning the gallery into an electric, otherworldly environment. Works incorporating internal or small light sources are also welcome—anything that plays with illumination, contrast, and visibility in the dark. We encourage submissions across disciplines: visual art, installation, sculpture, wearable work, and experimental forms. Performance and spoken word are especially encouraged, culminating in a dynamic closing event on Halloween.”

Summary: “The City of Santa Clarita invites artists to submit artwork for "Hispanic Heritage Month," a juried group exhibition celebrating the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latin American communities. On view at the Newhall Community Center (22421 Market Street) from September 23 through November 4, 2026, artists are welcomes to submit artwork that explores themes of heritage, identity, family, tradition, history, and contemporary Hispanic and Latin American experiences. Join us in honoring the voices, creativity, and enduring cultural legacy that continue to inspire and enrich our community through art.”

Summary: Escondido Arts Partnership is accepting submissions from San Diego artists for 3 Dimensions. “3 -D art can include sculptures, carvings, reliefs, collage, assemblage, ceramic, three dimensional paintings, installations or any artwork that utilizes the dimension of depth”.
