Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls
Summary: “The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), Public Art Division, and the Harbor Department are seeking professional artists interested in creating permanent public art for the new Avalon Pedestrian Bridge and Promenade Gateway (APB&PG) in the Wilmington neighborhood within Council District 15.”

Exhibition Dates: Permanent
Entry Fee: No fee
Summary: “We’re seeking bold, original, and unexpected work for REMIX—a group exhibition celebrating the power of reinvention. Whether you're flipping the script on tradition, blending genres, or reworking familiar forms into something totally fresh, this is your chance to show us your take on the remix.”

The Gold Standard signifies the best of things. Let's see that!”

Exhibition Dates: 8/8/25 - 8/23/25
Mediums: Drawing, painting, photographs, digital art, mixed media, collage, and sculpture. No performance art or AI is accepted.
Entry Fee: $35.00 for CAL members with 2025 dues fully paid, and $55.00 for non-CAL members. The $20.00 surcharge for non-members is a one-time offer that gives the new artist membership into CAL at a discount.
Summary: “We could use some Goddess energy right about now. Let's give our goddesses prime viewing! Submit your art that celebrates your goddess/es of choice. 2D, sculptural, and performance work welcomed. Curated by A. Laura Brody, founder of Opulent Mobility. There are no strict limits on the size of the artworks, but contact me (A. Laura Brody) if the works are larger than 5' across.”
