Calls For Art 5/4/25

This week's issue of SoCal Art Opportunities is sponsored by Willow Pond SLO, a 14-acre creative retreat on the Central Coast of California. Willow Pond offers workshops across multiple disciplines, from Fiber Arts to Plein Air painting, Figurative Drawing to Abstraction, Professional Arts Development courses, and more.
Make sure to check out the upcoming Japanese Paper-making & Bookbinding Intensive with Anne Covell. This workshop is designed to give students the unique opportunity to learn four distinct Japanese crafts: Nagashizuki hand paper-making, natural dyeing and cover decoration, hand bookbinding, and portfolio box-making.

I built SoCal Art Opportunities newsletter to help artists save valuable time researching local opportunities. I love being able to provide this resource for free but it does require many hours per week to research, curate, and share these opportunities. Subscribing to the premium tier not only unlocks additional opportunities/resources weekly, it helps me cover the cost of providing this newsletter to thousands of SoCal artists.
