Summary: “Creating art can be tough when starting from a blank sheet of paper. Watercolor is that balance between hustle and flow. Get your grind on with some water, paper, and pigment and show us how captivating watercolor can be. This exhibit celebrates this uniquely magical medium. Show us your latest watercolor paintings! Portraits, still life, plein air, abstract, surrealism etc. Show work that captures your unique creative flow!”

A Place at the Table - 2D Gallery Wall Exhibition

Summary: “The Southern California Women’s Caucus for Art (SCWCA) invites artists to submit work for the exhibition A Place at the Table 2D Artwork. Inspired by The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago, this exhibition explores themes of inclusion, visibility, equity, and the ongoing reexamination of historical and cultural narratives. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. Submissions may address concepts such as presence and absence, access and exclusion, identity, memory, labor, community, and the reclamation or creation of space. The notion of “the table” may be approached literally or conceptually, and work may reflect personal, social, or political perspectives. SCWCA seeks work that contributes to a thoughtful and rigorous dialogue, acknowledging the historical context of women’s contributions to the arts while engaging with contemporary perspectives. Open to women artists or self identified women artists only. No AI. No video. No 3D work. ”

The Velvet Hour

Summary: “The Velvet Hour” is a group art exhibition inspired by the fall equinox—a time when day and night briefly agree to share the sky equally. The show gathers artists working in painting, photography, sculpture, textile, and mixed media, all orbiting themes of seasonal change, gentle transformation, and the soft mischief of autumn arriving a little early. “The Velvet Hour” refers to that glowing in-between moment just before sunset when everything looks slightly enchanted—edges blur, colors deepen, and even ordinary things seem to remember they’re part of a story.”
