Baywatch

• Summary: “Wow! Over 1 billion people in over 142 countries have seen the tv show, Baywatch! But what do you watch at the bay? Swimmers, surfers, happy dogs, palm trees, sailboats, sunbathers, hot dogs, sunsets, ocean waves, sunbrellas, ice cream cones, martinis—the list goes on.  We all love the advent of summer. Show us what you watch and party with us as we celebrate our 11th Anniversary.​”

• Deadline: 6/6/25

• Location: Art on 30th, San Diego

• Exhibition Dates: 6/14/25 - 7/18/25

• Mediums: All 2-dimensional art welcome and any 3-dimensional artwork (glass/ceramic sculpture) that fits on a pedestal. Photography, fabric, and journal pages are also welcomed if prepared for hanging. 

• Entry Fee: Entry fee for up to 2 pieces: $35, for up to 4 pieces: $45.

Surf Art

• Summary: “This is a call to Southern California-based artists who surf or are surf industry professionals to submit entries for Surf Art, a joint exhibition to take place at California Surf Museum (CSM) and Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA). This exhibition will explore art that has emerged from the surf-culture lifestyle and surfing’s influence on artists.”

• Deadline: 6/9/25

• Location: California Surf Museum, Oceanside & Oceanside Museum of Art

• Exhibition Dates: 8/23/25 - 2/1/26

• Mediums: Any medium excluding photography, giclees, videos, projections and reproductions of original work. All submissions must be original works of art

• Entry Fee: $25

Hollywood Burbank Airport Replacement Terminal Light Box

• Summary: “The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is pleased to solicit artist qualifications for artwork for temporary display in lightboxes within the new Replacement Passenger Terminal.”

• Deadline: 6/11/25

• Location: Hollywood Burbank Airport

• Exhibition Duration: Approximately 12 months

• Mediums: “must be created in a digital format, or be a physical artwork ready for scanning and/or photography to enable printing as a transparency.”

• Entry Fee: No fee

Cocoabutter 'n Cash

• Summary: “We invite artists to immerse us in a world of sun-kissed beaches and decadent pleasures. Let your imagination capture the sensory delights of summer — the scent of coconut, the warmth of sunshine, the glint of golden wealth, and endless summer days to express how this scenario feels to you.”

• Exhibition Dates: 7/8/25 - 8/8/25

• Mediums: All except digital art, workshop/class art, and reproductions

Studio Channel Islands All Media 2025

• Summary: “Artists are continuously challenging their boundaries and excavating their unique discoveries to create new and bold work. Studio Channel Islands invite you to enter your most recent break-through pieces, the ones that have led you to the horizon of your works next evolution!”
