Summary: “The County of San Diego Casa de Oro Library is seeking applications from qualified artists, to be considered for commissions of two artworks. Opportunities for artwork commissions include ceramics, mosaics, glass, and metal sculptures. Proposed art locations include the exterior entry wall and the poet’s patio. Please consider that preference will be given to local area artists. The theme for the structure should respect both the natural and man-made beauty of this landscape, as well as be influenced by its history and inhabitants. Artwork with a strong conceptual tie to this specific place and its past will invigorate and make the artwork integral to this new Library, a public place and community center.”
Deadline: 6/2/25
Location: Casa de Oro Library, Spring Valley
Mediums: Ceramics, mosaics, glass, and metal sculptures
Entry Fee: No fee
