Summary: “This exhibition is a response to the relentless pull of consumer culture and the urge to accumulate. It is a call to slow down, to return to what matters, and to resist the impulse to over-consume, overthink, and overextend ourselves. Through simplicity and intention, we discover freedom—not only in our materials and process, but in how we choose to exist and engage with the world.”

Exhibition Dates: 5/3/25 - 6/28/25

Summary: “Summer Salon 2025 is an open call exhibition featuring a diverse range of mediums. This exhibition includes artists of all stages in their career and explores Los Angeles artists through a range of artwork that represents the complexity of our urban community and surrounding cities. Salon-style shows hold historical and cultural significance and play an important role in the creative landscape in their ability to platform artists and include the public in our programming.”

Mediums: “Works must be visual including paintings, drawings, mixed media, sculptural, ceramic, photography, etc. Unfortunately, video work and performing arts cannot be considered for this exhibition.”

Summary: “The City of Whittier’s Art in Public Places Committee is excited to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new illuminated public art installation along Whittier Boulevard. We are seeking a talented artist to design and create a modern, dynamic piece that enhances the visual landscape of this prominent location near The Groves.”

Mediums: Open to a variety of mediums including but not limited to the following: Bronze, metals, concrete, stone, aluminum, mixed media

Summary: “The Associates of Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, California announces its 53rd Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. Cash awards total more than $4,000, including a Juror’s Award. All accepted artworks will be included in a show at Brand Library’s Gallery and in both printed and online exhibition catalogs.”

Mediums: Any artwork on or of paper, including collages, drawings, paintings, photography, prints, 3-dimensional works, and animated artworks created from drawings or prints.

Summary: “The IB Arts and Library invite South Bay Artists to submit to our Fall 2025 Call for Art: Expressions of Kindness. Kindness is more than a simple act—it is a force that ripples through communities, creating connection, healing, and change. Whether it’s a quiet moment of empathy, a grand gesture of generosity, or the resilience of compassion in difficult times, kindness takes many forms.
