Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls
Summary: “The City of Tustin Public Art Commission, in partnership with the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking submissions from artists for a permanent outdoor installation. Submissions can take the form of functional or non-functional art. One sculpture will be chosen for placement along the entry walkway, adjacent to a playground area at Centennial Park in Tustin, CA. The selected artist or collaborative group will receive compensation between $10,000 to $20,000 for the artwork.”
Deadline: 4/7/25
Location: Centennial Park, Tustin
Installation Date: June 2025
Mediums: Work must be suitable for outdoor installation in mediums of stone, bronze, steel, wood, etc.
Entry Fee: No fee
Summary: “The City of Palmdale is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for stair murals to be installed at Pelona Vista Park. This exciting art initiative will transform the park’s two staircases leading to the north fields into visual expressions of the project’s themes of health, wellness, sportsmanship and community pride.”
Deadline: 4/15/25

Installation Date: Installation to begin 7/17/25 and be completed by 8/31/25

Exhibition Dates: 6/25/25 - 7/9/25
Mediums: Painting, printmaking, sculpture, textile, and mixed media. No photography or glass media at this time.
Entry Fee: $35
Summary: “The TOCA Foundation 2025 Fine Arts Juried Show recognizes the best in original mixed media arts. ≥30 artworks will be selected from the prestigious field of artist entries to be included in an exhibition at the June 21, 2025 TOCApalooza”

Location: Torrance Cultural Arts Center, Torrance
