Utility Box Art Program

• Summary: The City of Costa Mesa invites artists of Orange County to apply to have their artwork designs placed on utility boxes around the City.

• Deadline: 12/31/24

• Location: Various locations across Costa Mesa

• Exhibition Dates: Artwork is expected to remain on the utility box for 3 years

• Mediums: The design will be printed on a vinyl wrap. Artwork must translate well to this format.

• Entry Fee: No fee

Reconstructing Reality

• Summary: “This is a California Creative Arts hosted show. Members receive priority. If you are not a member, you can join here. We are a nonprofit. Your membership fee is tax deductible, and you keep 100% of your sales. This is an open themed show. Exhibit coincides with the “Death Of A Salesman” production at The Colony Theatre.”

• Deadline: 12/31/24

• Location: The Colony Theatre, Burbank

• Exhibition Dates: 1/7/25 - 2/3/25

• Mediums: Hangable art

• Entry Fee: No fee to apply. Non-members, if accepted, must become a member ($50) or pay a one-time participation fee of $40. There is a hanging fee of $25 for up to two pieces.

Carnival of the Animals

• Summary: The Mandell Weiss Gallery team invites artists to submit original work for Carnival of the Animals, a juried art exhibit celebrating animals’ beauty, diversity, and symbolism in our world. This exhibition seeks artwork that captures the essence, spirit, and wonder of animals—whether they are real, mythical, wild, or domestic. The exhibit coincides with San Diego Ballet’s world premiere of Carnival of the Animals, featuring a Latin jazz score by trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos.

• Deadline: 1/3/25

• Location: Mandell Weiss Gallery (inside the Dorothea Laub Dance Place), San Diego

• Exhibition Dates: 2/7/25 - 4/4/25

• Mediums: Painting, drawing, photography, video, mixed media, textile, and digital. All work must be 16” x 20” (finished size) or smaller.

• Entry Fee: No fee.

Spaced Out

• Summary: The Goblin Gallery is looking for space themed art for their next art show.

• Deadline: Ongoing until space fills up

• Location: Goblin Shark Emporium, Oceanside

• Exhibition Dates: 1/4/25 - TBD

• Mediums: All

• Entry Fee: No fee. Submit your work through the Gallery Inquiries Form at the bottom of their website: goblinsharkemporium.com

ART @ ONT

• Summary: The Chaffey Community Museum of Art (CCMA) is seeking visual artists who reside within the geographic area served by the Ontario International Airport to exhibit small-scale works of art in wall-mounted glass display cases inside the airport.

• Deadline: Ongoing

• Location: Ontario International Airport

• Mediums: Art that will fit inside the display cases which are 55-5/8”Wx38-5/8”Hx23-5/8”D.

• Entry Fee: No fee
