Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!
Summary: The City of Costa Mesa invites artists of Orange County to apply to have their artwork designs placed on utility boxes around the City.
Deadline: 12/31/24
Location: Various locations across Costa Mesa
Exhibition Dates: Artwork is expected to remain on the utility box for 3 years
Mediums: The design will be printed on a vinyl wrap. Artwork must translate well to this format.
Entry Fee: No fee
Summary: “This is a California Creative Arts hosted show. Members receive priority. If you are not a member, you can join here. We are a nonprofit. Your membership fee is tax deductible, and you keep 100% of your sales. This is an open themed show. Exhibit coincides with the “Death Of A Salesman” production at The Colony Theatre.”

Summary: The Mandell Weiss Gallery team invites artists to submit original work for Carnival of the Animals, a juried art exhibit celebrating animals’ beauty, diversity, and symbolism in our world. This exhibition seeks artwork that captures the essence, spirit, and wonder of animals—whether they are real, mythical, wild, or domestic. The exhibit coincides with San Diego Ballet’s world premiere of Carnival of the Animals, featuring a Latin jazz score by trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos.
