Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!
Summary: “We are inviting artists to be part of "El Arte es Vida," a Día de los Muertos art show at the C.A.T Gallery celebrating the vibrant traditions and cultural significance of this special day. We are looking for works that honor life, remember loved ones, and explore the themes of remembrance, heritage and the beauty of life and death. This is an opportunity to share your creativity and celebrate this rich tradition.”
Deadline: 10/20/24 or until spaces are filled
Location: C.A.T Gallery, Pomona
Exhibition Date: 11/9/24 @ 4:00pm
Mediums: Ready to hang art
Entry Fee: $25 per piece, with a maximum of 4 pieces per artist
Summary: “Celebrate the treasures of the season with a two month, 56 day exhibition opportunity. Loads of sale opportunities, awards and a reception. Maximum size is a 16×20, up to 4 entries. No juried images to upload. This is a fun show. We will entertain a 10% discount during November and in December for the public, so price to sell for holiday gifts. (Artist need not participate in the 10% off sales, no commitment).”

Summary: “The City of Santa Clarita (City) is inviting artists to submit artwork for consideration for our upcoming “Exploring Domestic Spaces” juried exhibition, which will be on view at the Newhall Community Center. We are seeking original artwork in any medium that delves into the nuances of everyday living environments. Artwork should reveal stories and emotions embedded within personal spaces, defining our sense of home.”

Exhibition Dates: 12/19/24 - 3/19/25
Mediums: Painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles, performance, and mixed-media. Artists working with video, projection, or performers must provide their own equipment.

Summary: “Exhibit to coincide with “The Girl Who Made the Milky Way. This is a California Creative Arts hosted show. Members receive priority. If you are not a member, you can join. We are a nonprofit. Your membership fee is tax deductible, and you keep 100% of your sales.”
