Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!
Summary: “The Los Angeles Makery invites you to submit art inspired by play and childhood wonder for our multi-gallery exhibition!”
Deadline: 1/15/25
Location: LAM Gallery at the Los Angeles Makery
Exhibition Dates: 2/1/25 - 2/28/25
Mediums: All
Entry Fee: $20 for up to three pieces of art
Summary: “This is a California Creative Arts hosted show. Exhibit coincides with the production of “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile: The Musical”. This is an open theme show.”
Deadline: 1/26/25
Location: The Colony Theatre, Burbank
Exhibition Dates: 2/4/25 - 3/23/25
Mediums: All art must be wired to hang
Entry Fee: Members: No fee, Non-members: $40 participation fee, $25 hanging fee for up to two pieces
Summary: “Exhibition jurors, Holly Brackmann, Luisa Gil Fandino, and Paula Kovarik will select innovative textile art that explores form and technique of 2D artworks, 2D art quilts, and 3D wall hanging and free-standing work that highlight fiber.”

Location: Visions Museum of Textile Art, San Diego
Exhibition Date: 10/17/25 - 1/31/26

Entry Fee: $40 for all VMOTA members and $50 for non-members
Summary: “The Arroyo Arts Collective invites artists to reflect on Resilience—the art of adapting in the face of adversity. Making art is a powerful expression of resilience in action.The challenges we face in our creative work offer opportunities for growth, both as artists and individuals.”
Deadline: 3/1/25
Location: The Makery, Los Angeles
Exhibition Dates: 4/4/25 - 4/27/25
Mediums: 2D (painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and digital art), 3D (sculpture, fiber art, ceramics, and metals), and proposals for installation pieces
Entry Fee: “All entrants must be current members of the Arroyo Arts Collective to submit work. To become a member visit www.arroyoartscollective.org, click on the JOIN link, and use PayPal. Or, provide your name, address, email, and phone number, and a check for $25 and mail to The Arroyo Arts Collective, PO Box 50835, York Station, Highland Park CA 90050. Membership dues support this and future programming.”
Summary: “Create new art through transformation. Try using discarded items, revisit neglected canvases, add things to change old works or transmute it with new mediums. You may submit three pieces of art to this themed art exhibition if you’re a San Diego resident or a member of the EAP, art must be your original work.”
