Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!

  • Summary: “Connect and collect with other local artists! Submit your original or limited edition artwork for a group exhibit in The Pop-Hop gallery space and swap with fellow artists on the last day of the show.”

  • Deadline: 9/12/24

  • Location: The POP-HOP Books & Print, Los Angeles

  • Exhibition Dates: 9/19/24 - 9/28/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: $10 per artwork

  • Summary: “S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is partnering with the Cathedral City Peace Initiative to host Pieces For Peace, an exhibition observing the United Nations International Day of Peace. This call is open to all artists and students and encourages artists to consider their role or contribution to cultivating peace.”

  • Deadline: 9/16/24

  • Location: Cathedral City Senior Center

  • Exhibition Dates: 9/21/24

  • Mediums: Painting, prints, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Recycled and repurposed materials are enthusiastically encouraged.

  • Entry Fee: No fee

  • Summary: “TKOart launched in 1995, selling historic and fine art to the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and New York. TKO’s focus is on showcasing and acquiring new works by emerging and contemporary artists from around the globe. The Brewery Artwalk & Open Studios is a distinguished event where more than one hundred artists open their studios to the public. Throughout the weekend people have the opportunity to engage with painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelry designers, and other creative professionals in a dynamic and immersive environment. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase artwork directly from some of today's most talented artists. We would like to open our gallery to outside artists so they can be a part of this exciting weekend.”

  • Location: Brewery Arts Complex, Los Angeles

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/5/24 - 10/6/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: $35

  • Summary: “With an open format the choice is yours—select and submit the art you like best for consideration in this Juried Group Show. We are open to all possibilities! The artwork will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability.”

  • Deadline: 9/29/24

  • Location: Covet Art Gallery, South Oceanside

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/19/24 - 11/2/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: $25

  • Summary: “The Town is seeking to work with local artists to have rotating art at various locations, including the central library plaza at the intersection of Highways 62 and 247. Artwork submitted for consideration should seek to enliven and transform the location. The art should be visible from a distance; therefore artists may choose to utilize bold designs.”

  • Deadline: 9/30/24

  • Location: Various locations in Yucca Valley

  • Exhibition Dates: January 2025 - November 2025

  • Mediums: Not specified but must be able to withstand outdoor weather elements

  • Entry Fee: No fee, selected artist will receive a $500 stipend and $1,000 in reimbursements
