Here’s the latest SoCal Art Open Calls!

  • Summary: “CSUN Art Galleries invites local artists to submit portrait-based works to be considered for exhibition. Seeing and Being Seen investigates the potential that portraiture holds as a method of remembrance, empowerment, and reflection.” (Open to anyone 18 years and older residing in Los Angeles or Ventura County)

  • Deadline: 9/13/24

  • Location: CSUN West Gallery, Northridge

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/28/24 - 12/12/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: No fee

  • Summary: “Since 2006, Los Angeles Art Association's OPEN SHOW has grown into a renown international survey exhibition of emerging art mounted by the organization whose mission is to serve emerging artists.”

  • Deadline: 9/15/24

  • Location: Gallery 825, Los Angeles

  • Exhibition Dates: 12/14/24 - 1/10/25

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: LAAA Members: $25 for up to 5 entries. Non-members: $50 for up to 5 entries

  • Summary: “Calling all artists, artisans and vendors! Join us for our 4th annual South Gate Art Walk. The Art Walk will be held in conjunction with our closing art exhibition Oír De Nuevo/Press Repeat, October 12 from 2PM-6PM at the South Gate Museum & Art Gallery. We are looking for a range of artists and vendors.”

  • Location: South Gate Museum & Art Gallery, South Gate

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/12/24, 2:00PM - 6:00PM

  • Mediums: All

  • Vendor Fee: $40 (1 table and 2 chairs will be provided)

  • Summary: Contemporary figurative art of people, animals, mythical creatures, anatomically real or not. Life drawing, portraits, sculpture and all that is made into and of flesh and bone. You may submit if you’re a San Diego resident or a member of the EAP, must be your original work.

  • Deadline: Receiving dates for jurying- 9/20/24 & 9/21/24 

  • Location: Escondido Arts Partnership, Escondido

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/12/24 - 11/1/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: Members: $20 for one, additional $5 for each piece; Public: $30 for one, additional $5 for each piece

  • Summary: “The Rubbish Remix Show is a vibrant celebration of creativity and sustainability, showcasing artworks made from at least 70% reused materials.”

  • Deadline: 9/22/24

  • Location: The POP-HOP Books & Print, Los Angeles

  • Exhibition Dates: 10/24/24 - 11/11/24

  • Mediums: All

  • Entry Fee: *All entrants must be current members of the Arroyo Arts Collective to submit work.
