Calls For Art 8/4

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Hi everyone! I’m excited to let you guys know that I’ve been working on a website where I’ll be posting more resources for Southern California artists beyond the calls for art I feature in this newsletter! I’m always finding it difficult to get all the info I’m looking for in one spot so my goal is to build a platform that can be a one stop shop for SoCal artists. Here’s some of what you can expect:

  • Calls For Art- Don’t worry this newsletter will still operate as usual with updated calls going out every Sunday. However, the section of the newsletter that lists calls that were covered in the previous week will be listed on the site instead to keep the newsletter more digestible.

  • Artist Spotlights- This will be a page where subscribers have the opportunity to promote their work, their website/social links, and any other info pertaining to their art. If you’d like to be featured on this page please let me know!

  • Events- Along with covering art events happening around SoCal, this will also be a page where subscribers can promote any shows and events their art is being featured in. If your art is showing somewhere and you’d like me to post about it, feel free to email me the info.

The site will go live next week but it will be a work in progress and since my goal is to make it as resourceful as possible, I’m open to any feedback on areas of focus you’d like to see included. I also want to mention that there is no charge for anyone subscribed to this newsletter to be featured on the Artist Spotlight page or to promote an event you’re participating in. I personally feel we as artists are constantly paying unnecessary fees so I’m hoping these pages in particular can offer extra visibility/marketing for any artists who are interested 🙂. More info to come next week!
