  • Location: West Hollywood

  • Exhibition Dates: Most exhibitions remain on display for a duration of 6 months to 3 years, depending on the concept, construction, and location of the approved artwork.

  • Summary: “The City of West Hollywood’s Art on the Outside (AOTO) program funds the temporary display of rotating exhibitions of art at publicly accessible locations that include but are not limited to parks, traffic medians, and communal areas of City-owned facilities.”

  • Mediums: Artworks included in the exhibition proposal should be able to withstand the natural elements and be ready to install in a public setting.

  • Entry Fee: No fee

  • Deadline: 6/30/24

  • Location: Online on the Sasse Museum of Art website as well as in print

  • Exhibition Dates: TBA

  • Summary: “This year's juried exhibit, Tree Stories, is a unique exhibition that explores the diverse narratives surrounding trees, including their cultural significance, ecological importance, and personal connections.The chosen artworks will be showcased in an online gallery on the Sasse Museum of Art website and a printed version will be offered for sale through Amazon.”

  • Exhibition Dates: 8/8/24 - 8/31/24

  • Summary: “The Studio Door is seeking artwork that represents body and sex positive visual art. The exhibition hopes to be a safe space for dialogue and discussion surrounding contemporary experiences of sex and sexuality.”

  • Mediums: Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book, and sculpture.  Please note some restrictions apply to glass, stain glass, ceramics and stoneware.  Oversized jewelry that can be defined as fine art is acceptable for this show.

  • Entry Fee: $35

  • Deadline: 7/7/24

  • Location: Covet Art Gallery, South Oceanside

  • Exhibition Dates: 7/27/24 - 8/10/24

  • Summary: “The top artist submissions will receive Featured Wall Space and inclusion on Artsy for this exhibition. With an open format the choice is yours—select and submit the art you like best for consideration in this Juried Group Show.”

  • Summary: “Join us as we take A Foot Forward: Art Knows No Boundaries into a future where inclusivity thrives and art becomes a catalyst for positive change. In this exhibition, our aim is to highlight the diverse talents of artists from Coronado, San Diego County and Tijuana, while also nurturing meaningful connections and fostering understanding across demographic boundaries.”

  • Exhibition Dates: January 2025 - up to one year

  • Summary: “The exhibition is inspired by Southern California artists whose use of the natural environment and unique materials brought or developed by the region’s innovative industries led to contributions in artistic movements such as Light and Space. Mirror Mirror aims to showcase the contemporary resonance of perspective, materiality, light, and color, highlighting themes such as reflection and translucence. Up to twenty participating artists and/or organizations will be chosen for the exhibition, each will receive a stipend of $1,250.”

  • Location: Norma Hertzog Community Center, Costa Mesa

  • Exhibition Dates: 9/14/24 - 9/22/24

  • Summary: “The City of Costa Mesa invites artists across Southern California (Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Ventura) to apply to ARTventure, our Juried Art Show and event. More than 200 artworks will be accepted into the show and will be eligible for cash awards.”
